From the 20th of September until the 22nd, PLOUTOS project partners met in Osijek, Croatia, for a Mid-term Meeting aimed to review the progress of the project. Below you can find a summary and some insights from the three days.
Wednesday, 20/09
After a warm welcome from the hosting organisers, Breza & Centar Za Mir, Nenasilje I Ljudska Prava Osijek, and the project leader, Halmstad University, project partners reported on business language and financial literacy courses, organized in six European countries for third-country nationals; valuable insights were collected by sharing different experiences among countries.
The meeting then focused on the communication and administrative sides of the project. Project partner, European Microfinance Network, shared updates and actions taken on the communication activities related to PLOUTOS, while the administrative discussion was led by project partner, Innovation Hive.
Thursday, 21/09
The day kicked off with an exercise on the role of a mentor and their attitude towards the mentee. The morning session also included training on how to use the PLOUTOS App and focused on one of our flagship activities, the business acceleration program. The activity was successfully carried out and partners expressed their appreciation afterwards.
Later in the day, project partner, Future Needs, presented he Business Acceleration Programme; partners took part in three, specific activities that simulated some aspect of the platform, such as loan-seeking, employee payment, and business management.
Finally, the day came to an end with a presentation on research tool conducted by Halmstad University.
Friday, 22/09
The last day of meeting focused on future steps and goals. Each project partner in charge of a work package presented the action plan intended to be carried out in the following months. The group also agreed on completing the list of Mentors table to be shared with Future Needs.
